Ohiwa Lodge to Waihau Bay.
Your first stop is Motu River jet boat tours. Take an exhilarating ride on the Motu River. Your guide will give you a feel for the local history and you will step ashore for a short bush walk suitable for all ages.

Following your trip up the Motu River, drive another 30 minutes to Te Kaha for lunch at the Te Kaha Hotel with its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Alternatively, Te Kaha Café offers roadside coffee and snacks.
After refreshments, drive another 15 minutes to Whanarua Bay, considered the prettiest on the coast with its small beach offering ideal swimming and snorkeling conditions. Here you will also find Pacific Coast Macadamias where you can stop in for a treat of macadamia nut products and admire their macadamia orchard and beautiful surrounds.
If you have time, you might consider a horse ride with Maraehako Horse Treks. Saddle up and enjoy an exhilarating ride up to and around the beautiful Maraehako Bay area.
Travel another 10 minutes up the road to the famous Raukokore Church (the White Church). Built of wood in 1894, this picturesque church is an ideal photo opportunity stop and just around the corner you can explore the little settlement of Waihau Bay.
Time to turn around and head back to Ohiwa Bay.
